How To Fix Broken Connection In Droid Transfer

  1. Make sure your phone is turned on when using Droid Transfer and that the Transfer Companion app is displayed on your phone’s touch screen. Don’t go back to your company’s home screen or switch to another app.
  2. To connect your phone and the entire computer via Wi-Fi, your mobile phone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network that your computer is normally connected to.
    Make sure your phone’s IP is the same as your PC’s IP to see if your phone and PC stay on the same WiFi. An identification number is assigned to the home IP addressto ensure that every device is connected to the internet.
    Your PC’s IP address is displayed under the main QR code in Droid Transfer. To find out your phone’s IP address, go to Settings > About method > Status.
  3. If your computer has multiple Internet connections, such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet, select the IP address during the QR code that matches your home phone’s IP address by clicking on it as shown below.
